Show & Tell Friday - Concho Belts

Today I have just a quick Show & Tell Friday to share with you. These are my concho belts, they were a present to me from my grandma when I graduated from Jr. High. I really like these because they are all so different. The top one is made up of 2 different shapes of silver conchos and is inlaid with real turquoise. The next one is hollow semi-circles of silver, as you can see they are dented in from years of wear and tear; I believe it was made in the 20's or 30's and there are also matching screw-on earrings to go with it. The third belt is probably my favorite, and the one I wore most often, it is copper and quite long. The bottom belt is made of large silver conchos, but the turquoise in these does not appear to be real, still a pretty belt though.
That's it from my treasure box this week, for more Show & Tell Friday fun, visit Kelli at There is no Place Like Home.

The Simple Woman's Cannery - Giveaway

Do you enjoying canning? Maybe you have never done any canning but have always wanted to try? Then check out this giveaway over at The Simple Woman's Cannery. She has a great prize to get you started. I have wanted to try canning for years now, I use to help my Grandma when I was very young but I have never tried to do it myself. I do make my own tomato/pasta sauce and freezer jam, but my freezer is starting to get jammed, so I need to get on the ball and start canning. Maybe this will be the year!

In The Backyard

Here is what's been going on in our backyard this week...

We got a playhouse! Kaylee is one happy girl now that it is finished (there were many tears before it was finished however because we could only watch it go up and not help!) She says the bottom floor is the barn where she will keep a milk cow, Great Idea! And a big Thank You to Grandma & Grandpa for helping make her dream come true!

Country Girl at Heart Giveaway

It's another Great Giveaway! Country Girl at Heart is giving away this adorable handmade wallhanging in honor of her 50th post. For a chance to win just go leave a comment on her blog, the giveaway ends June 9th so hurry over. Congrats Julie!

Matthew's Going Solid

I just had to brag on my baby boy alittle bit today! Two nights ago we introduced Matthew to "real food" for the first time and he LOVES IT! So far he is only getting rice cereal and carrot puree, but he has not made a bad face or spit any out, he has just cleaned it up! He will be 5 months old this weekend and is so sweet don't you agree? Ready & Waiting for it...
Yum I'll take some more of that...That was so good...
Now I got a full tummy - time for a nap!

You must check this out. I am still pouring over the website, it is full of beautiful inspiration! I did not known this publication even exsisted until I read about it at A Cup of Cold Water, who just happens to be having a giveaway of the current issue, so hurry on over and don't miss out!
